Our Life Enrichment Calendar Is Always Full!
Stay as active and involved as you choose.
At the Lutheran Community at Telford in Bucks County, PA, there are so many activities to choose from that you can stay busy every day. Or, you can choose to relax and unwind. The choices are always yours!
Overseeing the more than 200 options listed on our monthly Activities Calendar, Director of Life Enrichment Nicole Brennon helps our residents stay as busy—or as relaxed—as they choose.
A key component for the success of our Life Enrichment programing is our Person-Centered Philosophy. In addition, Nicole focuses the Enrichment calendar around the six dimensions of Wellness as outlined by the National Institute on Wellness: physical, emotional, social, intellectual, occupational and spiritual. This results in a wide-range of activities such as exercise programs, meditation classes, trivia, card clubs, educational lectures, book clubs, wood shop or faith discussions.
Nicole is quick to point out that she couldn’t create such an in-depth program without the help of our resident Life Enrichment Committee, which meets monthly to share input and guidance. “Residents really take ownership of the programs,” she explains. “I can help get them up and running but the residents are passionate about their activities.”
In addition to her monthly group, Nicole also noted that any resident in the community is welcome to suggest a new activity, group or trip. “I’m here to help residents keep their passions or find a new one.”
The goal of our Life Enrichment program is to provide activities that offer fun, sociable and mentally stimulating choices based on personal interest and individual attention.
