Everywhere the Glint of Gold: The Treasures from the Tomb of Tutankhamun

April 16, 2018 – 2:00 pm

In 1922, British archaeologists discovered the 3,000 year-old tomb of Tutankhamun, filled with golden shrines, jewelry, sculpted alabaster, carved wooden objects and the perfectly preserved mummy. This lecture will recount the events that led to the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, and share stunning images of the ancient artifacts. Light refreshments will be served.
