Life Enrichment
The Lutheran Community at Telford's Life Enrichment Department offers personalized services to help our independent residents maintain the highest level of wellness. Programs focus on the six dimensions of wellness as outlined by the National Institute on Wellness. These six areas of wellness are vital to ensuring healthy living and aging for all people.
Physical: LCT offers programs to help residents stay active and maintain their physical function through exercise programs, group physical activities and a state of the art fitness room.
Emotional: At LCT we will help you learn to relax, manage stress, and feel comfortable in communicating your needs.
Social: You will meet new friends at LCT. (groups such as Reminisce, Card Clubs, Scrabble, Social Hour, Ladies Tea, Men's Breakfast)
Intellectual: The Life Enrichment Department at LCT provides challenging and stimulating activities. (groups such as Brain Aerobics, Trivia, News and Views, Book Clubs)
Occupational: Through our Life Enrichment programming you can continue lifelong hobbies and leisure interests or begin exploring new interests. (groups such as Wood Shop, Horticulture, Project Linus, Poet's Corner, Last Chords, Quilting)
Spiritual: Our Pastoral Care Department provides programs to care for your inner spirit. (groups such as Faith in Focus, The Gospel Truth, Bible Study)
Our Wellness philosophy is demonstrated in our WIN (Wellness Initiative Now) Program. This program encompasses our belief that whether wellness has been a life long commitment or it is a new resolution it is never to late to start.
In addition to these on site programs, the Life Enrichment Department offers a variety of travel options. Outings range from weekly shopping trips to local stores and malls to museums trips and lunches out. Through a new partnership with a local travel company we also offer more extensive travel opportunities ranging in day trips to dinner theaters and historical tours to multi-day tours, and cruises.
