Health Care

Nursing Care

The 75-bed nursing unit is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. It is both a Medicare and Medicaid approved facility.

Twenty-four hour care is provided by licensed professional nurses assisted by a caring staff of nursing assistants.

Residents in the unit retain their own personal physician. The physician, nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team develop a comprehensive and individualized "plan of care" for each resident.

An activity department, under the supervision of a certified activity director, provides all residents with stimulating and meaningful activities designed to maintain and enhance their level of function.

As a team, all staff strive to provide the highest quality of physical, emotional and social care.

Personal Care

The 57-bed personal care unit is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.

Personal care is designed for the resident who does not require intensive nursing care, but may need some assistance with activities of daily living. The resident is able to function as independently as possible, while knowing that a competent staff person is close by to assist with personal grooming or medication administration, if needed.

Single rooms with bath allow privacy. Couples can be accommodated in private rooms. Meals are taken in a common dining room and socialization is encouraged through a thoughtfully designed activity program.

Charges for healthcare are on a per diem basis.
